Clients included American Express, IBM, Telstra, Nokia, LG, Guinness and Continental.
Opportunity Manager - KPMG

A short-term contract writing new business proposals, both in print and on the web.
General Manager, Product Development - ICE Interactive
May 2000 - Apr 2001
A combined creative director and product development role at Australia's first interactive television (iTV) start-up, ICE Interactive Ltd. At ICE I developed the first t-commerce application & transaction in Australia (Pizza Hut) and the first iTV promotion/competition in Australia (MasterCard). The role also involved public speaking engagements at conferences and expos.
Vice President of E-Business - Traderspace Ltd (UCS)
Jul 1998 - Apr 2000
At the height of the dotcom boom I joined the Sydney-based futures brokerage UCS, a former consulting client.
I re-branded the company as Traderspace and created a strategic blueprint for Internet and iTV-based financial services,
leveraging News Corporation's global assets, that succeeded in raising $10 million in development capital from Rupert Murdoch.
I had four staff reporting to me and I relocated to New York for six months to discuss rollup opportunities with complimentary
companies and list the new entity on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
Founder & Head Guy - Convergence Guy Consulting
Jul 1996 - Jul 1998
In 1996 I set up my own Internet consultancy providing creative, strategic and technical advice to clients in the advertising,
publishing, financial services, film production and education industries, as well as a Silicon Valley start-up.
Convergence Guy helped businesses identify and act upon Internet-related opportunities.
Founder, CEO & Creative Director - Clemenger Interactive
Jan 1995 - Jun 1996
During my tenure as a copywriter at Clemenger I developed a number of proactive business proposals,
including a plan to open an interactive division. The Board approved my business plan in late 1994 and
Clemenger Interactive (possibly Australia's first agency-based interactive shop) was born, with me serving as CEO and Creative Director.
With the help of two part-time staff I developed finished websites, online ads, and dozens of website proposals for
Clemenger group clients including Dulux, The Australian Opera, Village Roadshow, Australia Post, Suncorp and Lion Nathan.
Disney management in Burbank described the Inst-o-matic Character Creator section of my Toy Story website as "awesome".
The Clemenger Interactive brand was resurrected in Clemenger's Melbourne office about 18 months after I left, where it eventually evolved into Zivo (now defunct).
Writer & Senior Writer - Clemenger Sydney
Jul 1988 - Jan 1995
For more than six years I wrote award-winning TV, cinema, radio and print ads for blue chip clients including
Apple, Pepsi, Sega, Polaroid, Cityrail, Pizza Hut, NSW Lotteries and Lion Nathan.
I also devised brand strategies, selected production suppliers and oversaw the production of commercials.
I worked with a range of Art Directors including Dean Mortensen, Luke Jarman, Mike Thomas, Roger Clarke and David Barnes.
In 1992 I was awarded Clemenger Creative of the Year, earning a four-week trip to the US.
And in 1994 Clemenger MD Greg Daniel gave me a $10,000 bonus for creating the Sega "Revolution" cinema campaign,
which he described as "by far the best work the agency has done all year".
Despatch Manager - Clemenger Sydney
Oct 1987 - Jun 1988
In order to break into advertising I took a job in Clemenger's mailroom while I did Award School.
During my time in Despatch I wrote ads that were actually produced for agency clients.
Film Editor - ABC-TV Drama
Feb 1984 - Jul 1987
I worked as a film editor on television drama shows at the ABC's Forest Studios in Sydney for a few years, which gave me a great understanding of the TV production process and a very good sense of timing.
